World Music Day is a volunteer event inspired by Paris’ Fete de la Musique, where musicians perform for free in public spaces bringing the community together through music. Musicians will perform at various locations throughout Downtown West Chester between the hours of 3:30 - 9:00 pm. I will be set up outside one of my favorite spots, Turks Head Wines, at 18 S. Church Street, playing the songs you know by heart from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Come into town early and stroll the streets to hear a variety of musical talent.

We are now in our 50th year of playing acoustic favorites, having began this journey during our freshman year at St. Lawrence University. We continue to play the soundtrack of our lives from the Eagles, America, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Buffet, Pure Prairie League, Loggins & Messina and, of course, our originals. More recently, we have added contemporary country songs.

Join us at this family-friendly indoor/outdoor venue which (despite its name) has a full service restaurant and bar with good eats, craft brews, fire pits and games for all ages. Rain or shine.

Join the fun and support Devereaux’s local adult autism programs sponsored by the Shinny hockey crowd at Ice Line Rink (700 Lawrence Drive, West Chester). Tournament hockey games begin at 7:00 am but throughout the afternoon, there will be live music, food, drinks and games for the kids in the parking lot. My performance slot will be sometime in the early afternoon. For the benefit of Devereaux’s Community Adult Autism Partnership Programs Bridge Scholarship Fund.

As part of its regular monthly programing, the West Chester Senior Center has teamed up with the non-profit “If Not for Music” to promote local artists bringing live music to various venues in Chester County and beyond. It’s a mission I support.
